Barbara Billard had been a team member of Lumonics since 1972. She was an assistant at the Lumonics School of Light Art, and part of the Lumonics art installation team.
Through the years, she worked very closely with Dorothy Tanner in the art studio. She also collaborated with Dorothy on clothing design. Barbara was the seamstress for the Lumonics custom furniture that was built. Barbara also was a very good studio assistant, keeping the books, and helping at events.
We gifted Barbara‘s body to the Anatomical Board of the State of Colorado, part of UC Colorado Medical School. Most bodies are used to teach medical, dental, physical therapy and physician assistant students, and in the continuing education program for surgeons. Within 2 years, Barbara‘s body, left intact, will be cremated and we will receive the ashes, fulfilling her wish.
