Girls Inc. of Metro Denver came to Lumonics for a field trip on March 31, 2026, organized by Erika Taylor, the Center Program Organizer. Girls Inc. were honored just the other day at Mile High Stadium for the first home game of the Denver Summit, where the girls were brought onto the field to a huge ovation from the crowd.
The girls attending were mostly in the second and third grade, and a couple in fourth grade. We took them on a tour of all the artwork and our art school, the gallery, and the performance space where we did a special light and sound immersion for them. We then took them “behind the scenes” to show them how we present the immersive experience.
They had lots of “favorite artworks” and enjoyed particularly one of the Mountain Meditation videos we played. They are created by camera footage of our hikes and drives in the Colorado mountains.
They were a lovely group, so polite and well-mannered…and appreciative of what we presented.
