A Light Meditation (30 seconds)
For the first time in Steamboat Springs, CO, @Lumonicsgallery 's renowned light sculptures will be on display! On December 6th from 5pm-8pm during the community’s First Friday Artwalk, the light-art project known for their glowing light sculptures will be viewable to the public at The Boathouse Steamboat at 609 Yampa Street. This unique pop-up gallery showing will showcase selected Lumonics sculptures, crafted by founders Mel and Dorothy Tanner. The Tanners achieved recognition in the 1960’s using experimental art materials traditionally used in industry work through which they created sculptures with light as an art source. Join Western Centers, Family Bowl, The Boathouse, and Lumonics’ Marc Billard and Barry Raphael for the Opening Reception on December 6th from 5pm-8pm for refreshments and an evening that will light up your creative senses.
